Margie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College and her master’s degree in clinical counseling psychology from Brenau University. Additionally, Margie has provided counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Margie is the founder and President of Project L.I.F.E. for Youth, Inc. and Alternative Life, Inc. Two nonprofit organizations that provide life-skill training and residential services, respectively, to underserved children. Margie is also an adjunct professor of psychology at Brenau University. She has completed research projects focusing on topics that range from self-identity, family structure, African American males, juvenile delinquency, and gang affiliation.
